Compared to Tamil, Hindi is like a baby in diaper: Kamal Haasan
CHENNAI: Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) chief Kamal Haasan on Tuesday called Hindi language a "little child in diaper" when compared to older languages like Tamil and Sanskrit.
"Among the family of languages, the youngest one is Hindi. It is a little child in diaper. We will have to take care of that language because it is our child too. We will definitely take care of it. Compared to Tamil, Sanskrit and Telugu, it is still the youngest language," he said while answering a student's question on 'politics over languages' during an interaction at Loyola College in Chennai on Tuesday.
"Hindi is a good language but should not be imposed, he said, adding, "I don't treat Hindi with derision but have compassion and kindness toward it. Don't stuff it down our throats."

And Tamil is now like a old women in diaper with the so called fake Tamil Patriots like you and the dravidian parties. Unless Tamilnadu and India progresses like a Singapore for example,. everything ancient here will die.

these Dravidian imperialists are trying to capitalise the situation. nobody is imposing any language or culture. this guy acted in Hindi films for fame and money. North Indians in Tamilnadu learnt Tamil .its way of survival. unnecessary rhetoric to incite people. people learn English to get along all over.

By the same logic, English too is a baby in a diaper but everybody today wants to learn it...if a particular person feels that a particular language offers him utility, he will learn it.. whatever language it be...
